As employees, you want a quality vision benefit which gives you the flexibility of use to meet your particular eye care needs.
Your employer has established a direct-payment vision benefit, processed through PECA, Inc, which will give you that and more. By coordinating with Professional Eye Care Administrators, Inc, you as the member/employee will also gain the following additional benefits:
• The flexibility to utilize your benefit amount toward your specific optical needs, without limits on its use toward frames, eyeglass lenses or contact lenses.
• No limitations on frame choices or on the optical lab which your provider can use.
• Additional discounts* in addition to your benefit amount by using one of our contracted network professional providers.
• Unlimited use discounts on additional pairs of eyeglasses received from the same provider in the same benefit period.
• Payments made directly to your in-network provider so there is no need for you to wait on benefit amount reimbursement. See Vision Plan Summary for out-of-network reimbursement processing.
When your benefit amount is selected by your employer, it will be designated by a plan number in order to ease the communication between your provider, PECA, and your employer.
All plans include calendar year benefits extending from January 1st to December 31st.
